We don't charge extra for the BAA.
Most software in this price range either won't sign a Business Associate Agreement or charges a separate compliance tier for it. We don't, for a simple reason: every practice we serve is a covered entity, which makes us a business associate whether or not anyone pays extra for the label. Pretending otherwise would protect nobody.
So HIPAA-eligible infrastructure and a signed BAA come with every account at every price. If your compliance officer wants to review it before you sign up, send them to us.
Why there's a one-time setup fee.
$97, once, for founding members. It covers building the funnel on your domain, configuring your services and payers, connecting your calendar and phone number, registering your SMS with the carriers, executing the BAA, and a real onboarding call where we test the whole thing end to end with you.
Carrier registration alone takes a week of back-and-forth per practice. We'd rather charge for it once than bury it in your monthly and still be collecting for it two years from now.
